GARDEN PARTY

I find great joy in painting flowers. Gardening is my passion. Gathering whatever is in bloom and filling my home with colour and fragrance creates a romantic ambiance inspiring my creativity, setting the perfect mood for painting what I adore.

I am constantly amazed by the brilliance and subtleties of nature’s palette. The sweetness for me lies in revealing the elusive and mysterious elements that draw me to their beauty. I often feel that my paintings make the invisible visible, capturing the life, drama, and vibrancy of the moment. I use thick, luscious paint, applying it within a short timeframe to preserve the freshness of my subjects.

In this body of work, I have chosen to have my florals star in a literal celebration of the deliciousness of life. Romanticising the conversation between food and flowers, adding a touch of whimsy.
